Sue and Hector Badeau adopted twenty children who needed a home – but there were always more
Why would you adopt 20 kids?
Sue and Hector Badeau always knew they wanted to adopt as well as have their own. But once they’d started they couldn’t stop
What stroke me in this story is the organization related to big families: in addition to the expected chore and laundry charts or prayer schedule, the “Badeau Family Handbook” documents the family’s values, rules and systems eg.
“each week, Mom will take one kid on a Friday night “date” and Dad will take one kid on a Saturday morning breakfast so we can have one-on-one time and develop our relationships with each other”.
Wow so that’s how you do it.
